Reviews and Ratings
I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms may need an upgrade, but after requesting a different one, I got a very nice room that matched my standards. The price I paid was great, and having a microwave and maybe even a continental breakfast added to the value.
The hotel room was spacious and beautiful until the last night, but unfortunately, it had a no-view view of dumpsters, ugly roofs, and a bit of an open view. The service was just okay, but I had to visit the front desk three times for room keys. On the bright side, it's conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants, with a luau onsite. The location is simply awesome for swimming, right on the waterfront with lively ocean views. The dining experience was overpriced, hoping for a small breakfast but required the buffet. On a positive note, the food was delicious and affordable with great ocean views while dining.
The hotel felt outdated and tired, resembling a worn-out roadside motel. The staff appeared unmotivated, and the beds were uncomfortable. However, the location was excellent with easy access to shopping and dining options. Watching the dolphins play from the balcony was a memorable experience.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms were large and undergoing renovations in one of the towers, offering a beautiful view of the bay, they overlooked the carpark and noisy highway. The service, on the other hand, was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to help us and even offering a small food voucher to fix a minor issue. The location was just what we were looking for, right in the heart of the main waterfront area of Kona, putting us within walking distance to most attractions. However, the dining left a lot to be desired, especially in terms of selection and value for money.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and had a lovely balcony with an excellent view, away from the hustle and bustle of the 'strip'. The service was top-notch, with staff being very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. The location was perfect for my family, being within walking distance to town and nightlife. However, there were a bit too many additional charges for basic services. The dining experience was satisfying, offering a nice selection and a great view. Overall, a great value for the money.
The hotel is situated in a nice location, not far from beautiful beaches and within walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were spacious but needed an update, reminding us of an old roadside motel. The service was exceptional, especially the friendliness and approachability of the staff. The dining options were a bit lacking in variety and seemed overpriced. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory for a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with a nice balcony, although a bit tired, suited my needs perfectly. The proximity to eating places and the farmer's market was great, but the limited water access in Kona was a downside. The service was very responsive and friendly, making my stay enjoyable.
The hotel offers spacious rooms, but some areas need updating. The location is beautiful, and the grounds are pleasant. Service is generally helpful but could be friendlier. Dining is pricey, and the selection is limited. The facilities are well-maintained, although some noise disturbances were noted.
The hotel offers a decent stay, with some aspects that could be improved. The rooms are outdated and small, not quite justifying the higher price. However, the staff provided excellent service and even left us a lovely surprise gift for our honeymoon. The location is excellent, just a short stroll to the town center, but the dining options were a bit overpriced.
The hotel offers great rooms with spotlessly clean and nicely furnished interiors. The service provided, although mostly amazing, had some unpleasant experiences during specific interactions. The location is excellent, being close to various shops, restaurants, and the ocean. Dining options are delicious but on the expensive side. The facilities are well-kept and contribute to a pleasant stay overall.
The hotel offers spacious rooms that, while adequate, do not fully meet the expectations of a four-star property considering the price. Despite encountering a security issue with an unauthorized entrance, the bathroom features a small tub and remains clean throughout the stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was lovely with great ocean views but I was disappointed by the need for upgrades. The dining experience was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room had noise issues and lacked a pleasant view.
